I have had several emails asking if the $197 price includes lodging and workshops and YES, believe it or not, we are offering a full weekend of workshops, experiencing community, lodging and even MEALS for this fabulous low price. Uh,I did not mean to sound like a Sham Wow commercial, I just get excited when I can share such a GREAT bargain. We really want to showcase our wonderful retreat location and this is a great way to do so…offer great events, at great prices. FYI, for both retreats the $197 price IS an Early Bird Price….don’t delay.

I feel moved to share this exciting episode, but first, allow me to assure you that this was a very unique event here at Dancing Bear Resort…no need to fear visiting us!
Yesterday morning I was out feeding Kundun, my nine week old yak his am bottle, just enjoying the moment when something caught my attention, out of the corner of my eye. I saw a big, fat, ugly dog tearing along beside the fence, just a few feet away from us. Right on his heels was Zoe, my big, fluffy Great Pyrenees dog. You know how thoughts flicker through your mind…I was thinking, “That is one fat, ugly dog,” “Did my neighbors get a new dog?”, “That dog runs funny.” Then my brain kicked in and I knew…BEAR!
I looked over and all the alpacas had scurried to the fence line and were very curiously watching the scenario unfold. Zoe was chasing him, but not in a frantic way…more like she was just “shooshing” him away from HER property.
Then some neighbors pulled up and yelled out, asking if I had seen the bear. They told me he was standing at the end of our driveway, standing up on his hind legs, beside our dancing bear sign. Of course, they fumbled with cell phones, trying to get a picture…but the scene only lasted a moment! We laughed about it and they went on their way.
I looked down and realized that throughout all of this Kundun, in true Yak fashion, had not missed a beat and was finishing off his six pints of breakfast. I guess that pretty much showed where his priorities were!
Zoe strutted around all day…she knew she had, yet again, done what the Great Pyrenees was bred to do for thousands of years…guard people, property and her animal charges.

The tarot has been a part of Barbara Moore’s personal and professional lives for over a decade. In college, the tarot intrigued her with its marvelous blending of mythology, psychology, art, and history. She currently serves as the tarot specialist for Llewellyn Publications. Over the years, she has been active in the American Tarot Association and has spoken at tarot conferences around the United States. Barbara’s articles on the tarot have appeared in several tarot publications and in Llewellyn Publications New Worlds of Mind and Spirit magazine.
Barbara enjoys the challenge of giving a voice to tarot cards and oracle decks. Bring your Frenchie and your FUN for the week of September 12th through the 19th at Dancing Bear Resort. We will wallow in Frenchie activities (which does include plenty of rest and relaxation, of course). Each year we have Frenchie Arts & Crafts, you can either be artsey OR crafty or BOTH, in which our creativity runs wild. Chocolate and wine have been known to have been consumed.
Kelly MacLaughlin will be here conducting Quantum Biofeedback treatments on participants. She is owner of Pawsitive Healing and my weight-loss guru, so I LOVE her.
We are hoping to have Ilga Cimbulis sharing her skills as our Animal Communicator and Intuitive.

October 2-4th…Join Barbara Moore, Tarot Author, and Kathy Dannel Vitcak, Hand Analyst, for a weekend of Divination, Exploration, Introspection, and of course, FUN!
Using the powerful energy of the Full Moon in the fiery sign of Aries, we will tap into your inner passion. The Moon in Aries is a perfect time for new beginnings and to initiate change. Various divination methods will be employed to reveal your deepest, innermost desires. Knowing what you really want is the first step in achieving your goals.
We will dive into Tarot Secrets and Exploration, Life Mapping, Hand Analysis, Birth Cards and more. Plus, there will be a Spiritual Swap Meet (bring books, decks, CDs, etc. you wish to swap or share.
The schedule is a rather flexible one and there may be a bit of tweaking.
Dancing Bear Resort is available for early check-in if you wish to arrive anytime after noon on the 2nd. Relax, take a boat ride, commune with the animals (dogs, alpacas, one little yak and a mini-horse) or begin your preparation for the weekend in your own manner.
Friday
6 – 7:30 Welcome Ceremony, Setting Our Intention for the Weekend and Dinner
7:30 – 9 Meditation and Tarot Reading Swap Let’s get to know each other (and ourselves). Everyone partners up and reads for each other. Handouts of spreads and sample questions, such as “what do I need to focus on this weekend?” will be provided. You do NOT need to be a “professional” Tarot reader to enjoy and greatly benefit from this experience. Various Tarot and Oracle decks will also be provided for your use for the weekend, or bring any of your own decks you wish to. Of course, Barbara will have decks available for purchase, if desired.

9 – 11:30 Life Maps Made famous in The Secret, also known as Vision Boards, Soul Collages and more. Life Mapping is a process that will often allow doors to open to Divining Your Passion. All materials will be provided, and yes, we do welcome and encourage you to bring any objects you may wish to incorporate into your Life Map.
11:30 – 12:30 Lunch
12:30 – 1:30 Life Map discussion/interpretation There is so much to be learned from where you place each symbol, picture and word on your Life Map. Barbara and Kathy will help you explore and explain each part of your Life Map.
2:00 – 3:30 Tarot Journaling Using the Tarot to explore your Passions is a time honored inner exploration tool. Barbara will guide you in how to best use each card to deepen your connection to your journey.
3:30 – 5:30 Free time There will be an optional activity, TBA, or you can use this as completely free time!
5:30 – 6:30 Dinner
6:30 – 8:30 Hand Analysis Kathy will help you explore your Life Passion, as found within your own hands. We will print your hands, examine them and discuss main archetypical hand energies.
8:30 – Fire Celebration If you so desire, dress for the Fire Ceremony! Of course, we ARE in northern Minnesota and weather may play a part in the festivities.
